OMG! A wasp in February!

Josh in his wasp killing get-up.

The perpetrator.

The scariest thing ever happened tonight! I was sitting in the chair in the nursery with Mckayla and I heard this strange buzzing noise and thought nothing of it. I heard it again a few seconds later and looked up to see what it was and there was this huge, ugly, live wasp on the curtain staring right at us! Anyone who knows me knows I'm already terrified of bees, wasps, spiders, or basically anything creepy! And of all the random things to happen especially to me there was a wasp in my baby's room! (In February no less...since when do bugs come alive in your house in the winter!?) Needless to say, I bolted with the baby as fast as I could to get out of there and shut the door so it couldn't get out. I talked Josh into going in there to hunt down the perpetrator with the flyswatter. And even though he hates insects too, he went in and got it. One of those things husbands are good for is to take care of the icky and scary things right? It was on my glass Tiffany lampshade that Josh thinks is ugly, so he was mustered up the courage to go swat it :) Anyway, it's dead now. Somewhere off in toilet water land, far far away from here. However, I'm still afraid to let Mckayla sleep in the nursery for fear of other creepy crawly things that might still be in there. I did conduct a small search of the window behind the blinds, under the recliner and so forth, but found only a spider web. Hopefully she's safe in there. Well, she might be sleeping through the night tonight, but I won't!
