Look at her go!

Thanksgiving

We went to my Moms house in Wyoming for Thanksgiving this year! It was a great time and we loved it. We haven't been there for a VERY long time. My Dad made a brine turkey with wine gravy that was amazing, and my mom made an awesome regular turkey with a different wine gravy and a bunch of other awesome food! For 6 adults it's needless to say, we had plenty of great turkey and gravy! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad.

Mom & Me

Here is a little sample of some of my digital scrap-booking using the family pictures Jesse took for us last Friday and some I took of Mckayla a while back:) So, is there anyone else that's into scrapbooking? Any helpful tips or suggestions for me? Thanks. (click on image for a sharper view)

Fondue Heaven and a special date!

Ali and Howard were kind enough to watch Mckayla for Josh and I on Saturday while we went to dinner and a movie in Salt Lake. We went to see 2012 which was completely awesome and we loved it! Great special effects, plenty of story build up time and good ending! We recommend it :) Then we went to The Melting Pot for the first time ever. All I have to say is that it was a fun and unique experience and it was DELICIOUS! The chocolate fondue of course was the best part. We apparently didn't get our fill as you can see I made our own so we could enjoy fondue again! Ours was actually really good too! We invited Jesse over to help us eat it all and had a nice time. I even let Mckayla have a little taste. The recipe for the fondue is at the end if you're feeling the need to have some. It's pretty irresistible after you see the pictures.

Chocolate Chip Fondue
Ingredients
• 3 cups milk chocolate chips
• 1 c Heavy cream
• 1 1/3 c Light corn syrup
• 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Preparation
In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the corn syrup and heavy cream to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate chips and vanilla, stirring until the mixture is thick and smooth. Serve in a fondue pot or in a heatproof bowl on a warming tray, stirring occasionally. Always use caution when using a warming tray. NOTE: Chocolate fondue dippers can include chunks of pound cake and cookies, or even marshmallows and fruit slices. Whole fresh strawberries and chunks of pineapple and bananas are especially good partners. Be creative - try different combinations to come up with your own favorites.

Wreath Chandelier

Alright, so I saw a Fall style wreath chandelier at Tai Pan a while back and said,"I am going to make one of those only for Christmas"! However, instead of buying expensive and beautiful stuff at Tai Pan, I went to Wal-mart and got some less expensive beautiful stuff! It took me a few hours and it was tricky figuring out how to get the wreaths balanced and make homemade bows, but it turned out almost exactly how I wanted. I wanted to put it downstairs over my bar but Josh had objections. So if it looks like a weird placement, that's why. Anyway, this is the result...

Cutest outfit ever!

Mckayla is starting to walk pretty well so I was inspired to do a photo shoot! There were so many shots I liked that I had to post a whole bunch! It was easier to post them a bit smaller and the quality isn't as good, so sorry if they're hard to see.
You can tell she loves picture time because she gets to be outside and she always has fun. It's so sad when I have to take her in because it gets too cold :(

I am ONE today!

I am a whole year old! I took my first steps two days ago. I have one tooth and another one coming in. I love my family and Jesus and I love to eat my treats. My mom gave me bites of peppermint ice-cream today and I love it too. The End.
